Unfortunately, I have discovered that my blog is being hijacked by a site that siphons the feed and republishes my content as its own. I'm not sure how to deal with this in a way that won't drive off regular readers. I realize that if I introduce each post with standard text, or switch from a full feed to a shortened one, I will alienate those people who just like browsing quickly through these posts in a legitimate feed reader.
And even that change might not be enough. I discovered that (at least) one of my posts had not only been republished, but it had been altered in the process. I always write my posts in such a way that full-size photos complement the text. The photos must appear next to the text that is written about them, or the whole thing doesn't make sense. The republished article had my words and my photographs, but the words came first and the photos were printed in thumbnail size at the end of the article. So not only is someone stealing my intellectual property, but they are destroying its integrity as well.
I didn't sign up for this...

Anyway, on to what this blog is really all about. Today's show is a music concert.
The first act didn't show up. They played some taped music and sent out little Bumble Bee girl to do her stuff. This one is tiny, only about 2.5 inches across.

The next act is a singer from Quebec, but we don't know the true story of her origin. She was discovered at Rona, a Quebec-based home improvement store, and all the web sites with her name are in French. For now, we just have to accept the label she came with -- even though she looks nothing like her namesake.

The headliner for this show is a new bubblegum pop band called Raspberry Swirl. The lead singer is looking pretty in pink today.

Oh no! How did you find out your material was being re-published?
I hope that isn't happening to me...
oh and I love your day lilies.. I have an obsession with them as well. I am planning on ordering a few from a daylily farm in Peterborough Ontario. I especially like your Raspberry Swirl :)
