Bringing the Flowers Inside

Normally I enjoy my flowers outside in the garden. Today, though, I decided to cut back one of my rudbeckia plants that is about twice as big as the others. I did not want to waste the flowers of course, so I brought them inside and put them in one of my vases.

This is my collection of Mdina glass (one small part of my collection of Art Glass), from the Mdina glass factory in Malta. To buy brand new pieces is very expensive now, but of course I don't buy new.

Flowers and Glass

I bought these pieces mostly at local antique shows; the three blue bottles are from eBay. The plate that you see there is a Denby plate I found for 50 cents at a department store. It has the same green and brown colours as the bottle and vase behind it.

that glass looks beautiful, very unusual colour mixtures and shapes. i like the middle blue one in the front row best, although the large yellow combo in the back is a close second.

You have a beautiful collection of glass! Each and every one just as lovely as the other. Sometimes I forget to bring the flowers into the house, I am so caught up in looking at them outside. The Rudbeckia look great in the glass vase.

I bet that blue with green stripes is just stunning with the sun shining through!
The vase you chose is a great color for those BE Susans.
