In keeping with the purpose of this blog, being my garden journal, I am going to use this post to document the many varieties of tulip that bloom (or still bloom) in my garden. I plant new varieties every year, but they don't all return. So this is a record of what's blooming in Spring 2008.
Yellow-Orange Tulips
I Kept Three as an Exception to My Purple and White Theme

Pink Diamond
Only Two Tiny Ones Blooming this Year

Zurel Tulips
Still a Few Small Ones Blooming

Pink Fountain (Fringed Tulip)
Only One Small One Bloomed

Shirley's Dream
I Planted a Lot of These, So There Are Plenty

Jackpot
Only Two Tiny Ones Blooming

Raika
They Keep Coming Back!

Blue Heron (Fringed Tulip)
Two or Three of These Are Left

Dark Purple Parrot
A Few of These Bloomed From Last Year's Planting

Possibly 'Ballade'
I Keep Replacing 'Ballade' with Lookalikes, So I'm Not Sure

Wow... what beautiful tulips. 'Jackpot' is my favorite, I think.

I decided to digg out this year some of mines, to give them extra bonus :) kind of holiday :)
So beautiful! Can almost smell the air in your garden. And the black mulch looks sharp--could use a bunch of that at home.
beautiful!
my tulips have done incredibly well this, the dafs not so much. i do have a deep purple one, which i actually didn't plant, that has come up this year, i keep looking at my neighbors to see who planted the rest of them. it looks incredible with the yellow ones i actually planted.

Now I remember the name of my pinkish-purple fringed tulips - Blue Heron. Thank you :) I love your pale pink one too.
The photo at the top with those deep red tulips against the vinca is glorious. Wow!
